Two minutes and nineteen seconds of animation, delivered in two weeks.
A 2min19s animated music video for the campaign of state representative Alisson Wandscheer, with the neurodivergent cause at its centre. The jingle and the script arrived finished from the client; the entire visual production — from the first character sheet to the final edit — was done in two weeks.
Two minutes nineteen in two weeks only works if everything is well organised and the process that keeps consistency is working.
The 2min19s jingle and the nine-scene script arrived finished from the client. The work began at visual production: turning written scenes into characters, frames and animation, with the autistic and neurodivergent cause at its centre. And with a double audience — the children are on screen, but the people deciding the vote are their parents.
The campaign number is the one thing an election film cannot drop. Instead of stamping it in a corner, it gets built: a raised finger that becomes the eleven, stacked blocks, pieces slotting together. The same gesture handles the recall of the number and keeps the children at the centre of the frame, which is what the film had to protect.
Lara, seven years old and the narrator, with her ear defenders always around her neck. Theo, Cecília and the supporting cast. Each one resolved as a four-view model sheet before entering a scene — in a 2min19s film with dozens of shots, a character without a turnaround becomes a different person at every cut.
Each scene resolved as a still before any movement: the drawing table, Paraná, the house at dusk, the finger that becomes the number, the children, the family, the number assembled piece by piece. That is what makes it possible to animate without stopping to decide.
Nine scenes cut to the rhythm of the jingle. The deadline is the most striking number here, and it doesn't come from rushing: it comes from locking characters in model sheets and approving scenes as stills before animating. The generative pipeline delivers the volume; what holds the deadline is the order of the process.
